Not a bad spot up there.

Don't lots of areas close Oct - April or is that only Border track?

Just reading up on that now.
I know Little Desert closes for wet season until end of Oct, and all parks can be closed on high fire days.

No closures in areas I'm looking at, only in fire season.
Won't be going in fire season.

Should be good for this trip, I've been to the Little Desert a long time ago, would be good to go back to the area.

Because we have Beachport in October,
I'll look to a date next year for Wyperfield.
Two big trips so close together could be hard for working people to get time off for, and cash.

Will research best times to avoid poor weather and track closure seasons.

Pezz, our latest forum member who lives out West,
is going to check out the meeting point/camp site for us, when he goes to Little Desert soon.
It will be good to know that it is still a good meeting point.
Hopefully we can get him to join us on the trip, too.

I'm going to tag along on Pezz's trip to the Desert.
See Auszookers thread below if interested in going on this trip.
Aiming for The Melbourne Cup weekend.

Pezz is no longer trip leader, but I am still planning to go this coming Cup weekend..
In the lead if need be.
Any others from our group still interested?
I'm guessing the Sand need has been filled by recent Beachport trip.

CCJC have a Robe/Beachport/Southend to Mt Gambier trip planned.
This is my back up plan if a safe number of cars for Wyperfield don't happen.
