Dimboola is only 4 hours from the Melbourne GPO, via the Western Fwy/Hwy,
so I would use the same camp site as a meeting point.
Its only a few minutes out of town, and has a tin dunny.

The town of Rainbow (photo) was the last fuel stop they used, before entering into the desert area.

Go Chris!

Lock in a date and number of days and you are good to go.

Can't yet, waiting on docs advice and some medical crap before dates can be fixed.

But 4 days of Cup day weekend may work, depending on other trips.

Here's a video I found Youtube, gives a rough idea.

Chris

I would be in this. Sand driving is fun. Looks like some of the video in the link was actually Border Track? I have a map of the region I will bring along to the next meeting and can let you know where we went on the Anzac weekend.

Excellent. As long as I get past the bit where I killed the Sierra, happy to go anywhere.
Have no intention of doing that big huge looking dune bit.
